Recruitment

Postdoctoral Scientists

Our team welcomes Postdoctoral Scientists who share our research interests in modeling age-related diseases. Ideal candidates will have earned a PhD in Molecular, Cell, or Computational Biology, with preferred experience one or more of the following domains: stem cell culture, biochemistry, molecular biology, histology, electrophysiology, microsopy, animal behavior, next generation sequencing, multivariate statistics, machine learning, and programming (e.g. R, python). Training opportunities in other experimental skill sets abound, and the successful candidate will lead projects, from designing studies, conducting experiments, performing analyses, drawing conclusions, producing manuscripts, delivering presentations, writing grants, and managing award expenditures. We regularly collaborate with other scientists in academia as well as industry to increase the impact of our work as well as foster future professional networks. The Cedars-Sinai Postdoctoral Scientist Training Program provides valuable resources to our community. Interested candidates should contact Dr. Ho with their CV, statement of their research and career goals, and contact information for 3-4 references.

Doctoral Students

The Cedars-Sinai Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences stands out from several other PhD programs by their emphasis in Translational Medicine. Students participate in curricula that merges basic and translational science, and they are uniquely situated in the medical center, where they can receive mentorship from basic researchers and clinicians. Our team welcomes rotation and thesis students through this program, and aspiring scholars interested in our work, or the work of our departmental colleagues should apply!

Research Interns

The Research Internship Programs provide academic and educational opportunities for students interested in science and research. There are several programs available. Undergraduate, graduate, and medical students from US colleges and universities can intern during summer months or throughout the academic calendar year and be compensated either with course credit or pay. We have previously mentored CIRM Bridges and SPARK students and continue to value their participation in our projects. Through the Biomedical Education Pipeline Initiative, a limited number of interns from underrepresented minority backgrounds can be funded by the medical center. Please view our available position and apply through this program link.
